Before You Download

The packages on this page contain a free trial version of QCAD (except for the community edition). The trial version is not intended for production use but if gives you a chance to try the software before you buy it.

  • There is no functional difference between the trial version and the professional version of QCAD.
  • The trial version terminates after 10 to 15 minutes after which it can be restarted.

You can order QCAD Professional from our Online Shop and download the full version immediately.

QCAD Community Edition

The QCAD Community Edition contains the source code of QCAD version 3.1, released under the terms of the GNU General Public License version 3 (GPLv3).
Please note that the GPL applies to the source code only, not to other resources contained in the package (user manual, fonts, patterns, etc. are released under the copyright of their respecive authors).

Requirements: Qt developer edition 4.7 or 4.8, C++ compiler.

Please understand that RibbonSoft does not offer free support for compiling or using these sources. The QCAD Community Edition is work in progress - in particular DXF export is not complete at this point which means that not all entities can be saved without using additional plugins. An official release with complete DXF support will be available shortly.
