Re: QXcbIntegration: Cannot create platform OpenGL context, neither GLX nor EGL are enabled
The QT version appears to be working. I normally use ./ for executables but today I apparently forgot. I looked back in terminal's the history and saw I was using ./qcad yesterday. Sure enough, "which qcad" revealed a stale binary (gasp). Also, I had tried re-naming and moving the file out of ~/opt....

Re: QXcbIntegration: Cannot create platform OpenGL context, neither GLX nor EGL are enabled
Now I'm getting this error. qcad: error while loading shared libraries: libqcadecmaapi.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory find ./ -name 'libqcadec*' shows it is in the current directory, opt/qcadcam-3.25.2-pro-linux-qt5.14-x86_64 Install details: ./qcadcam-3.25.2-pro-linux...

Re: QXcbIntegration: Cannot create platform OpenGL context, neither GLX nor EGL are enabled
I purchased in 2020 so I don't have download access. Do I need to buy again? I have an upgrade code. I have the Pro CAD/CAM version, BTW. In the mean time, I poked around, making sure OpenGL is available on my system # glxinfo | grep '^direct rendering:' direct rendering: Yes I then deleted the conf...

Yes, it's deleted. Sorry, I meant to say so in my initial post.

[solved] QXcbIntegration: Cannot create platform OpenGL context, neither GLX nor EGL are enabled
New Ubuntu install (details below), can't get QCAD to run. Well, it runs the setup wizzard if there's no config file, and the splash screen looks right. But when the main application window opens, it's black. It does respond to motion if the mouse travels over it. Also, the Properties window shows u...

Re: qcad/cam post processors
I'm an idiot.
I switched to "G-Code (fofset) [in]" and everything seems to work.
I think the problem was that I changed the settings on the file but not the application preferences.

Re: qcad/cam post processors
So I've hacked together a postprocessor in perl. It does static, wiggle, ramp, and spiral pierce. Hops over slag, if you want, etc. It detects the beginning and end of profiles and puts in pierce, retract, and feed settings. Wrote a bunch of test patterns for the Razorweld Cut45 by hand and post-pro...

Re: qcad/cam post processors
Here's the same part with fusion post and QCAD. The difference is fairly simple... I have an automatic height module so there is a block of code before each cut which basically is torch-height adjustment and the pierce process. If you can get post set up, I'll post about this on the Langmuir forums ...

[SOLVED] F1 & [de-select all] problems
Pressing F1 in version 2.1.0.0-1prof.linux.x86 causes SIGSEGV.
Somes I'm escaped back a menu level when I use the de-select all option (from the icon menu) and nothing is selected. I don't know if this is the intended behavior, but it can make working with presistant selections difficult.

I would like to use QCAD to make scientific plots. Plotting the data is easy, but almost useless because there is no way to add text. I am looking forward to the addition of text placement capabilities to QCAD. I see from the mailing list and this forum that adding text has been planned for some tim...
