Re: What do people use QCAD for?
I have been a QCAD user for something over 12 years. Mostly for personal use in my wood shop. Heaviest use was during 2008 when I remodelled our kitchen and building the cabinets. Wish I could have generated a cut list!

Re: Crash on open of file
Ok, solved, sorry to waste your time. I downloaded the legacy file for the update instead of qcad-3.27.6-pro-linux-qt5.14-x86_64.tar.gz. Just made the change and I opened the file. Thanks.

Re: Crash on open of file
Thanks, I will take a look at the pattern. I did struggle a bit on how to build the area. There are three paver sizes and I wanted to retain the actual look so that my wife could better visualize the final result.

Re: Crash on open of file
Could you please let me know which exact package you have downloaded and installed on your system (file name of downloaded installer)? Also, please indicate your exact operating system, distribution, version, etc. Downloaded file: qcad-3.27.6-pro-linux-qt4-x86_64.tar.gz and running KDE on Ubuntu 22...

[solved] Crash on open of file
I have two files that crash on open with QCAD 3.27.6.0 (3.27.6); previous versions worked ok with the two files. I found one reference on the board from a couple of years ago; marked as solved but I could not find what was done to fix the issue, although it seemed as a file version change. I am runn...

Install on USB drive
Up to this new version I was able to install and run the program on a thumb drive. Is it still possible?

Re: segmentation fault for qcad 3.0 prof
Unfortunately when trying to download I get an expiration date message. I had purchased sometime back in mid 2011 and was upgraded to the 3.0. Will I have to purchase again and risk it not working?

Re: segmentation fault for qcad 3.0 prof
I checked my desktop system and it has the same packages installed. So, I guess it is a deeper issue. Quite unfortunate. I will post the logs in case it helps with possible code changes.

Re: segmentation fault for qcad 3.0 prof
In ubuntu there is a transitional package ia32-libs-multiarch that has the libraries as dependencies. I do see gtk engine files as dependencies. I will check into my other system.

segmentation fault for qcad 3.0 prof [solved]
I have a box running kubuntu 12.1, qcad 3.0 Prof opens fine on that box. I installed 3.0 prof on my laptop, kubuntu 12.1, installed the ia32... libraries to get rid of the libGLU.so.1 error and now I get a segmentation fault message. Any ideas? Thanks.

libglu.so.1 problems with rc4 release
Two days ago I downloaded the most recent release candidate for version 3. Using both, tar and bin files on an Ubuntu 11.04 install I get an error message announcing that the software cannot find libglu.so.1. If I make a sym link, then the error message just changes. Previous rc files worked ok.
