How do I change file permission?

Post by bobheaps » Sat Aug 18, 2007 2:19 am

I have installed QCAd on UBUNTU 7.04. However, when I try to save a drawing I get a message saying I cannot and I should check the permissions. How do I do this?

This isn't a QCad issue. You can only save files to a directory where you have write access. Your home directory is one place that you should be able to save a file.

You can create or change other directories to save drawings by either making yourself a member of a group that has write access or by setting the world access (i.e. everyone) to write.
