Hiding parts of a block/overlapping entities

Post by Gustra » Sun Sep 13, 2009 9:49 am

I am new to QCAD and I am currently working on making a drawing of our house in 2.0.5.0. I've created blocks of the windows for re-usability, but in one view there is a railing obstructing (overlapping) parts of the window. Normally I trim lines to the border of the obstructing entity, but that does not appear to work with blocks.

How can I hide the obstructed parts of the block? Do I need to "explode" the block and then modify the lines, or can I make the overlapping entity "opaque" is some way?

You have to explode the block and modify it. You can not put entities on the background to make them overlapping in the way you prefer.
