SVG2DWG preserving layers

Do you have a question you want to ask an existing QCAD user about QCAD and what you can do with it? Do you want to know if a particular feature exists? This is the place to ask.

Post by bens » Tue Aug 02, 2016 8:42 pm

Hi...another question if I may

when SVG2DWG'ng...is it possible to preserve the layers? I ask this because If I were to DWG2SVG and then SVG2DWG the resulting DWG only has one layer

cheers!

No. SVG does not support any concept that could be interpreted as layers, although some SVG applications like Inkscape emulate layers in their own way.
