Hi all,

in the case you didn't hear before... Necessitas is a new fork of Qt SDK to target the Android platform, here some links:

http://code.google.com/p/android-lighthouse/

http://sourceforge.net/p/necessitas/home/

http://sourceforge.net/p/necessitas/wiki/Home/

It made able to a non-developer like me to easily build and deploy some Qt examples to my phone.
I also observe that the linux package of QCAD has no extra dependencies other than Qt. In my ignorant opinion the port could be feasible with little effort, hope I'm not wrong.
What do you think? Somebody already had a look on this?

It would be *great* to have QCAD on the droid. I guess that this port could bring many new users and contributors to the project.

Thanks for your post.

We are aware of this (unofficial and incomplete) port of Qt to Android. Please note that this is a highly experimental project at the moment with an unknown future.

We are currently working on QCAD 3 which is our highest priority. After the QCAD 3 release, we might start looking into such options.
