I have been extremely impressed with QCAD as a very cost effective and simple platform with which to enter the CAD market. It is very quick to load, simple to use and remarkably versatile once you get to know the wrinkles.
Here are some of the things that could be improved and hopefully will be incorporated into version 3, which I will definitely purchase when it is ready:
1. Trim and line extension tools needs to be on ribbon tool bar.
2. JPEG import function.
3. Proper DXF interface with AutoCAD including text.
4. Simplify text fonts and allow setting in column width.
5. Line length and parallel measuring tool like Sketchup.
