Find the center of a polyline arc segment ...

Post by Husky » Sun Dec 08, 2013 12:29 am

I learned that it can be very difficult to find the center of an arc segment in a Polyline.
The Autosnap has understandable problems but I can't see why I have to search so long with the "Center SC" snap in a blanc area to find - by accident - the center.
Would it be possible and maybe also in my understanding more logical to find the center with just a mouse-over / selecting the Polyline arc segment like the normal arc line?

Here a Test dxf - try to find the center of the biggest Polyline arc segment. The small arcs are easy ...

Thanks for your report.

A polyline is one entity and snap to center is currently defined for polylines as:
- snap to the closest one of all the center points of the polyline

This has been improved for the next release to:
- snap to the center point of the closest segment of the polyline

Sounds good to me - we will see how good it works in the next release. Thank you for taking care of it!
