Change default values of Dimension (which are not in the Preferences)

Hello!

I would like to change the default values Flip Arrow Values, Fixed Extension Line, and Extension Line Length. The should have for every NEW dimension the following values. I now how to change the afterwards (Selection Filter -> Text -> Replace Current Selection -> Change values), but it would be great if the values would be like I want them from the beginning.
Searched the forums and could also find no in file.

Hi,

Flipped arrows or not can not be set in Drawing Preferences.
It is kind of a hybrid, QCAD determines if the arrows can be inside or not and that is the normal way, the not flipped way.

What does Fixed Extension Line and the length value do for you?
Over here that doesn't change anything for Linear dimensions.

Remark that QCAD constructs/renders Dimensions in its own fashion, not everything is supported or the same as in other applications.

Here is a discussion on NO extension lines.
But fixed with value 1 as proposed by Andrew does nothing with linear Dimensions when I test that in v3.29.4

thanks for your answer. i cant find the flipped arrow in prefernece drawing. only the size of the arrow. maybe cause of the old version (3.25)

for orthogonal dimensions the Fixed Extension Line and length) changes the length of the line between dimesion an measured object
(first lenght 0,25 ; second with two)

Flipped arrows or not can NOT be set in Drawing Preferences.

As explained, it is kinda automatic.
One can not flip the Architectural tick but the dimension line is then longer.



QCAD version 3.29.4 and just the same in v3.27.6
Top set is as created: No Fixed Extension Line and length zero
Lower set = cloned with Fixed Extension Line set to 'Yes' and length 20 ...
... There is no difference.
