Nesting

How can i go about nesting shapes in Qcad i have a laser cutter and Mach 3 i want to nest the shapes to maximize the sheet ..?

Hello Azz131,

you are looking for an automatic nesting tool in QCad? Sorry, there isn't one.

What kind of shapes do you have? Maybe we can find an acceptable workaround. Do you have an example dxf to show us?

Yes me too, I have mentioned this before I believe somewhere. If QCAD had this feature it would open up a whole new world , of this I'm sure, I'm guessing it would be quite a gigantic development task ... but one if achieved would be extremely popular not too mention the sales increase, there are more and more companies in industry crying out for more tools like this and to incorporate a feature like this for QCAD would be outstanding!
