creating a mask for lithography

Post by valbenti » Fri Jan 16, 2015 12:30 pm

Dear all,

I am very new at this (have only worked with Archi-CAD before) and want to create a mask that can be directly printed on mask plastic.

Does anybody have any tips on how to get started or point me in the direction of tutorials that might be useful.

In short:
I want to make a grid of white dots (50 um in size) on a black background.

Any help is welcome.

I am using the professional trail, version 3.7.5.0 (3.7.5).

Thanks.

First, you might want to disable automatic color correction to make sure that black is always displayed as black and white as white, even if the background is the same color:

Edit > Application Preferences > Graphics View > Appearance > Color Adjustment:

After this, you can simply draw the desired entities (e.g. rectangles with black or white solid fill) on top of each other. Use the draw oder property or Modify > To Back / Modify > To Front to control the display order.

You can either choose to work on a white background and create a black shape as background of your white entities or only create the white entities and print with a black background:
Edit > Drawing Preferences > Printing > Colors
