Can't add to library

Post by nofate » Thu Feb 12, 2015 5:24 pm

Using version 3.7.7 on Windows 7. I have followed the tutorials, but I can't add new components that I create to either the architecture library or line types library. When I try to save a block I get a message that it can't open file C:/Program Files (x86)QCAD/libraries/default/range.dfx . I draw a component such as top view of a kitchen range, block it, select a reference point and try to save it in the appropriate library directory, but so far no success.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi nofate,

try this one:
Draw your component,
select the component,
Now select the "Create Library Item" tool below: Menu / Block
Chose the Referenspoint of your selection,
Save as in the proper directory (one of your Library Sources)

Use the new Library Item ....
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.
