How do I copy and paste rectangle to create a screen or grid

Post by Samson » Wed Aug 12, 2015 7:21 am

I am trying to figure out how to make a custom screen for ventilation. So basically I need to stagger rectangles that are 1/4" x 2" to fill up a 18x60" Screen? Can I do the first row then duplicate?

Hello Samson - welcome to the forum!

Yes, you can do the first row and use then the "Move and copy" tool ...

... or you could check out the options for Blocks. There is an option for "Array of Blocks"

Here is how it works: You have to create the block (your rectangle) - then select the block name in the block list - choose "Insert Block" - choose the option "Array of Blocks" and fill in the needed information for Columns, Rows etc.

Done!
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.
