Qcad 3.9.8.0; Ubuntu 14.04LTS
Newbie here.
Made a mistake and put dimensions on the wrong layer.
How can they be removed?
I've tried selecting them but that does not work.
Any help appreciated.

Re: Remove Demensions
What means that exactly? You can't select the dimensions? Are the dimensions on a locked layer? If you are not sure please attach the dxf to this forum. Thank you!boxarocks wrote:... I've tried selecting them but that does not work.

Re: Remove Demensions
I've tried selecting them but that does not work.
What that means is; I tried to SELECT the dimensions then EDIT, DELETE. It does not work.
The dims are on a layer -by mistake- other than the Dimensions layer.
There is no way to select them on that layer without selecting lines that I do not want deleted.
I can delete the dims on the dimension layer.
What I did was, delete that layer and start over -about 30 minutes- making **** sure the dims were on the dimension layer.
I used Qcad several years ago but this edition is a whole new game.
Thanks for responding.

The gun is not the problem, the problem is the person pulling the trigger.
Re: Remove Demensions
Hello bar,
the easiest way to move an entity (in this case the dim) between layer is to work with the "Property Editor".
You can open the Property Editor below Menu / View / Toolbars / Property Editor.
Now the Property Editor will pop up and if you select anything in your drawing this Property Editor will show you all information regarding that entity - also the used layer.
If the layer is wrong just change it in the Property Editor below "Generel Propertys" / Layer ...
or if you need a new Layer for this selected entity then use the "+" symbol to create an entire new layer.
