Hi,
I played around with this new tool "Auto close polylines" - but honestly - till now - I haven't understood how it works ...
If I have an open polyline - select this polylines - and use this tool I get prompt the message "X polyline(s) closed". Great - but the Property manager tells me it is still an open polyline and I can't see any changes in my drawing - what happens and what is the benefit of this new tool?
What can I do with "Auto close polylines"

If you're not planning to process DXF files further, it's probably not very useful. Anyway, here's the online reference manual for the tool:

This tool, I think actually helps when laser cutting.
I've noticed less little points when etching surfaces!
I'll need to have a better test and see .

Ok - understood. From time to time I need to prepare dxf's for cnc milling / engraving etc. but right now I don't see a benefit for me to covert geometrically closed polylines into a logically closed polyline - maybe something what i need later ...andrew wrote:If you're not planning to process DXF files further, it's probably not very useful.
