[SOLVED] Trim/Lenghten Polyline Not working

Post by pbergaus » Sun Jun 22, 2014 2:45 pm

Hello,

I cannot trim/lengthen any polylines. Lines with 2 Points work with these two commands. I think it is similar to this topic viewtopic.php?f=33&t=2775

Systeminfo:
openSuse 13.1 (64bit)
QCAD Version: 3.6.0.0 (3.6.0)

Thanks

Hello,

QCAD doesn't offers a trim tool for polylines.

See the description for the Trim tool:

Trim
Description:
Trims or extends a line, arc or ellipse to another entity

But there is a kind of workaround to solve your problem.
Select the polyline and use the blue Anker to extent to the other polyline. The snap to get it done precisely is "Intersection manual".

Check this out:

Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

Hello,

thank you for the workaround.

Will the trim/lengthen tool work with polylines in the future? Or is it not intended to work with a polyline because of different problems of that type of line?

At the office I work with AutoCad and so I am used to use polylines primarily.

Thank you
