Hi,
I'm working on an existing DWG file using QCAD Pro 3.6, Mac OS X 10.9.4 and I'm having some problems.
First, and most importantly, saving the file always gives an error: "Error while writing variable MAXACTVP: Requires an integer between 2 and 64."
Secondly, some things are not loaded correctly from the DWG. Specifically:
1. the drawing preference "Dimension Settings -> Size scale factor" is always read as 0, which means the dimension labels and arrows are not visible; and
2. hash objects are read with a large scale, e.g. 20.
The original application was created with Autocad, but I'm not sure which version.
I'd appreciate any help, especially on the first problem which I can't work around.
Thanks,
Chris

Re: QCad Pro DWG file problems
Thanks for your report.
Could you attach the drawing file (DWG) you are using or send it to me via private message or e-mail if it is private? Thanks.

Re: QCad Pro DWG file problems
Hi Andrew,
I've just PM'd you the file. While doing so I also noticed that QCAD corrupts the file when it fails to save it, which is a bit alarming. I had to recover the original from backup.
Regards,
Chris

Re: QCad Pro DWG file problems
Thanks for the file.
The two problems with invalid values for MAXACTVP and DIMSCALE have been fixed for the next release. Invalid values in the source file are now sanitized during import.
You can fix the hatch scales by changing the drawing unit from "None" to "Inch" after import:
Edit > Drawing Preferences > General > Drawing Unit

Re: QCad Pro DWG file problems
Thanks Andrew. Is there any chance of getting a pre-release or beta version? I'm a bit stuck without the ability to save. Alternatively, is there another way to sanitise the files easily outside of QCAD?
