[solved] printing issue

Post by luv_zen_13 » Wed Apr 01, 2015 8:26 pm

I`ve checked `Print drawing to scale or export to PDF` instruction but I still can`t print my pattern correctly. I`ve checked so many times all my settings and everything seems right. When I print my pattern it`s printing only on a small portion of the paper. My paper is set at A4 and at some point I`ve tried to change the setting just to see if anything is happening. And nothing. No matter what size of paper I set, the pages on the print preview are the same size and very small. I have a test square of 4x4cm on the screen and it takes two pages to print it even though my settings are A4.I really love how the program works for drawing but If I can`t solve this issue is pointless.

you can see in the screenprint that I have a square that has 4 x 4. My unit measure is Cm. My paper is set A4. The square is to big comparing to A4 paper. And here is a scan of whats happening on paper.

I am trying to be as specific as I can. So in the jpg file you have to look down on the page on the right side. the entire white page is an A4 page. And the tiny bit that is printed on down right side of the paper is what was printed. As an A4 page. The scale of the pattern is correct. Is just the layout and size of paper.

Thank you for the dxf for testing.

Your example drawing:
The Paper Unit is currently set to mm,
The Printing page is currently set to a A8 size what means a total size of the paper is 52x74mm,

To solve the problem adjust the Paper size to ISO A4 (210x297mm) and your 4cm x 4cm Test-square will be printed as a 4cm x 4cm Square.
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

luv_zen_13: My guess is that you have been adjusting the defaults for new drawings in application preferences instead of the preferences of the current drawing. Be sure to start the drawing preferences dialog with menu:
Edit > Drawing Preferences

Do NOT adjust drawing settings in Edit > Application Preferences. These are default settings for newly created drawings.
