Printing problem

Post by slavamir » Mon Apr 20, 2015 4:07 pm

Hi all, I am using windows 7 premium. Qcad ver. 3.9.1
I had Qcad 3.7.7 for a long time, I edit my old projects (made on 2.2.2) usually and today when I got into the print preview tab the project was like on the attached picture I thought that if I will update the program the problem will be solved but I was mistaken, the problem follows me to ver. 3.9.1 too.
Print Preview > Landscape > Autofit drawing to page(s) // and this is what happens..

Thanks for the fast reply, I have the same settings as you but it"s still showing me this. I think that the problem is in the page borders settings where can I change it?

You very likely changed application settings, not drawing settings.
Please use Edit > Drawing Preferences for drawing preferences.
Application preferences are defaults for new drawings.

Print margins only have any effect when printing to multiple pages.

Both Drawing preferences and application preferences are same as on your screenshot, it didn't help.
Note that the problem is only on old files after editing them. new projects have no problem at all.

Are you still using auto fit? If so, don't. Auto fit might indeed use your margin. You can adjust margins under multi page settings.

If you have changed other things in your file meanwhile, I'd suggest to download the file posted above, load it and only make this one change of the page size. This should definitely fix the problem for this file. Let me know if not.

Hello slavamir,

is "Screen based Linetypes" on or off? Try to switch it to on: Menu -> View -> Screen-based Linetypes"
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

Yes. Please do NOT proceed like this. Instead follow my instructions above. Here they are again:
- Load Drawing
- Edit > Drawing Preferences > Printing > Page > Adjust Paper size to "ISO A4"
- File > Print Preview
