[SOLVED] Sections of dashed lines missing 3.11.0 -> 3.11.3

Post by steve_v » Fri Oct 16, 2015 4:16 am

After upgrading from 3.11.0 to 3.11.3, dashed lines are no longer rendering correctly when not in "screen-based linetypes" mode.
In 3.11.0, these lines are shown dashed as expected, in 3.11.3 lines become solid with large sections completely missing.
Issue also appears in printouts.
Note this is regardless of lineweight / zoom level etc. I've mucked with all the options I can see ;), but the only solution I've found is to roll back to 3.11.0.
I don't have a copy of 3.11.2 to check this against, what changed 3.11.0 -> 3.11.3?

QCAD 3.11.3 introduces support for the 'measurement' DXF variable. It controls whether metric or imperial line types and hatch patterns are used. You can control it through:
Edit > Drawing Preferences > General > Drawing Unit

If you cannot solve the problem, always attach your DXF file, thanks.

Cheers, that seems to have sorted it. Seems these old drawings I inherited had some odd default settings.
