[solved] Unable to Change Dimensioning Parameters

Post by BernieLaf » Sat Apr 30, 2016 5:33 am

Installed version 3.14.2.0 earlier this week on a 3-month old Windows 10 system. I’ve been working my way through the eBook, and everything has been working fine until I tried altering the size of Dimensioning Text. Changes made using the “Dimension Settings” window, do not end up making any changes on the drawing. In fact none of the settings (Text Height, Scale Factor, Arrow / Tick, Font type, trailing zeros or Precision) have any effect on the actual drawing. Can anyone offer any reason why this might be? Thanks.

Where have you changed the Dimensioning settings? Below the "Application Preferences" or the ""Drawing Preferences"?
Note:
"Application Preferences" are used for default settings. You will see those settings only if you launch a new drawing.
"Drawing Preferences" are used to change the settings in the active drawing. Any changes should be seen immediately.
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

Thanks for the response. You nailed it. I was attempting to make changes under the Application Preferences settings and having no effect. When I switched to using the Drawing Preferences screens I was able to make the changes. Thanks - all is well!
