Drawing disappears when double-clicking on entity

Post by andrew » Mon May 09, 2016 8:12 am

From a QCAD user:
When I double-click a (block reference) entity in my drawing, the drawing or some parts of it disappear. Why and how can I avoid this?

A block in CAD is a group of entities with a name. A block reference is an entity that inserts a block at a position at a given angle and scale.

Double-clicking a block reference in a drawing opens the block for editing. After the block has been modified, you can return to the main drawing by choosing Block > Return to Main Drawing or by double-clicking on the Model_Space block in the block list.

To disable the double-click behavior, uncheck the preference Double-click on block reference opens block under Edit > Application Preferences > Graphics View > Behavior.
