How do I aling an object ?

Post by Kartsa » Sun Nov 14, 2010 8:50 pm

Hi,

I'm a newbie to splendid Qcad and have currently an issue of aligning objects.
I have an object (couple lines + circles), which is tilted some degrees and would need to rotate it to have its main axis strictly vertical. The problem is the rotate tool only accepts degrees as input and I dont know those degrees. Is there a way to specify the rotation via a reference point + target point like with other tools.

Thanks for the great software !

Hello,
Here's a workaround I've used: draw a vertcal line ans use the dimensioning tool to figure the angle, then apply a rotation to the entity of the same angle...

OK, Of course that is not 100% precise, but will do in my case. Thanks.
