How do I measure the angle between an arc and an intersecting line? I know the angle will be constantly changing depending on where abouts I am measuring on the arc but is it possible?
Also is it possible to put onto my drawing the total length of an entity. In the measure tools I used the command and it worked fine but just shows the total length in the console. Is there a similar tool in the dimension menu?
I wanted to put on my drawing the circumference of an arc I have drawn. At the moment I have just had to copy the measurement from the console and put the text on the drawing manually.
Thanks

Re: Measuring Arc Angles
You will have to draw a tangent to the arc and through the intersection first and then measure the angle between the two lines.Dave wrote:How do I measure the angle between an arc and an intersecting line? The easiest way to draw the tangent:
- choose Draw - Line - Relative Angle
- click circle or arc
- enter '90' for the angle and some convenient length
- place the tangent at the intersection
There is probably no easier way to do that at this point.Dave wrote: Also is it possible to put onto my drawing the total length of an entity. In the measure tools I used the command and it worked fine but just shows the total length in the console. Is there a similar tool in the dimension menu?
