Hi all,
I'm a beginning (2 years now) machinist from Hastings, Nebraska USA. I mainly make replacement parts for in-house repairs, on a manual lathe and milling machine. I sometimes need to make my own drawings on one-off, obsolete parts. One of the draftsmen in our engineering dept. told me about QCAD, so I thought I'd try it. I've made one usable drawing so far, and thought I'd get on this forum to learn more.
Thanks for having me!

Hi Doug,
Welcome to the forum. It won't take you long to be hooked to QCAD!
I started with it about 5 years ago and I have completed a few complex projects that I would not have dared try, had I kept my drafting table. It is now stored in the basement awaiting for some form of recycling...
