Change text color

Post by zwirnberg » Mon Dec 09, 2013 11:30 am

I'm newbie in QCAD and have a question:
Globally change the font color of text in layer is not possible to change the color of Zeichnugselementen goes smoothly. Is this normal or I make a mistake? I have not found anything about it in my search.

Hi zwirnberg and welcome to the forum.

You can set up different layers for anything you like and change the colour of these layers to your liking - which should in turn change all the entities on that layer to the same colour!
So...if you have a layer set up only for text, you can edit the layer and change the 'Pen' properties of that layer -Colour, Line-weight and Linetype, once changed this will dynamically change all the entities 'Text' also to reflect this change.
Best practice would be to set up different layers for drafting in.
drawing
construction Lines
text
center lines
hidden lines...and so on!
You can set these layers to visible or invisible too (eye icon).
Hope this helps a little, ask as many questions as you need to in your CAD progression  .
For the best support please state your operating system, QCAD version and add any supporting DXF/DWG files, screenshots etc...
