qcad.org or qcad.ch
Hello, why is the site address qcad.ch, but the site header says qcad.org? How many websites do you have, which one is right?
Re: qcad.org or qcad.ch
Hi,
Have ... Had the same problem.
When on the Ribbonsoft site https://www.ribbonsoft.com/en/ and clicking on the Forum link I am redirected to:
https://www.ribbonsoft.com/rsforum/
On that forum I don't have an account.
Nowadays I use my own favorite or bookmark: https://www.qcad.org/rsforum/index.php
Regards,
CVH

Re: qcad.org or qcad.ch
I didn't understand anything from your answer. I am now communicating with you using https://qcad.ch/rsforum. Since https://qcad.org is not available in my region. Can you explain if qcad.ch is an official mirror of qcad.org that is used to bypass the restrictions?
Re: qcad.org or qcad.ch
It is common praxis to make the same web content available with the use of different domains/suffixes.
In a nutshell - all domains are loading exact the same pages but Qcad.org is the official domain!
FYI: .org is traditionally used for a non-profit organization.
That an .org isn't working is rare but not impossible. Luckily you found the ch and you are already in communication with the real QCAD community.

Re: qcad.org or qcad.ch
A Husky explained, all plain mirrors probably but there is a twist to it.
Remark that links to other forum content direct you to the .org domain:
https://qcad.ch/rsforum/viewtopic.php?f ... 91d#p42156
Curious on how does that turns out when not available or restricted?
... I refer to the .com domain because you are redirected there by the link in the General forum Announcements header, see :
https://qcad.org/rsforum/
Since today the Forum link on https://www.ribbonsoft.com/en/ redirects me to: https://qcad.org/rsforum.
The other top page links still refer to the .com domain.
From the Cookies notice on https://www.ribbonsoft.com/en/ I take that it is the first time that I loaded that page.
What can't be true, probably meaning since it was updated because I surely visited it short before Mon Sep 18, 2023 6:37 and in between.
The main migration must have happened in between the announcement of QCAD 3.1 and QCAD 3.1.3 ...
Since 3.1.3 the changelog is referred to as on the .org domain.
Regards,
CVH
I can also navigate to the .ch domain forum https://qcad.ch/rsforum/ and again I have no access there.blackcement wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2023 11:52 pmSince https://qcad.org is not available in my region. Tested it and copied the links while writing the initial reply ...CVH wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 5:37 amWhen on the Ribbonsoft site https://www.ribbonsoft.com/en/ and clicking on the Forum link I am redirected to:
