more thoughts on line thickness

Post by J-J » Fri May 03, 2013 9:58 pm

When I work on a drawing on screen, I find it convenient to set line thickness to the minimum value, default or 0. This is best to appreciate intersections or do constructions. When comes print time however, those lines have a hard time with the printer resolution, more so at reduced scale as I do not have more than A4. Any line less than 0.13 is really faint on paper. So, I was wondering if it would be feasible to set the line thickness in the normal way when creating the miscellaneous layers (ready for print) and yet have them show thin on screen. This perhaps, could also be a selectable option via a check mark in the layer list for those preferring otherwise.

One way to handle this is through the draft mode (View - Draft Mode). In draft mode, all lines are shown as one pixel wide and continuous. Note that hatch patterns are not shown in draft mode.

Thanks Andrew, I forgot about this mode, I will try to see if that does it.
