I try to import a bmp-file as a background of the drawing. But always when i try to import the file my qcad crashes.
I work an a kubuntu 13.04 platform.

What is the exact type / format of the bitmap file (bmp, png, jpeg, ...)? Could you attach the file here is possible?

Thanks - I cannot find the attachment though. Please note that you have to click "Browse", select a file and then click "Add the file" to add an attachment to a post. Thanks again.

Sorry, but it seams that it's not possible to upload files with the extension bmp here.
I successfully inported now a png-file into my drawing.
The bmp still failes.

Yes, you're right. I've added bmp as accepted extension, so it should be possible now. Please accept my apologies for this hiccup.

Still having some issues with the upload. The file ist to big (5.7MB)
