It would be nice to have the possibility to select multiple blocks with Shift and/or CTRL + mouse like the Layer List to use a delete etc command on all selected blocks at once.

to remove selected blocks, yes.
I only don't see how the other block commands should work on a multi-selection.
E.g. YE or YY on a multi-selection of layers only addresses the first selected ...
