Customer had issues with font alignment and size.
He sent it to me and the font in text properties says Freehand521 BT which according to pictures I have seen is a script type font. The displayed text however looks a lot like ARIAL.
I do not have the Freehand521 BT font installed on my computer. I have the font substitution reporting turned on and it says unchanged even though that font is not available on my computer and the displayed font is obviously not correct. the DXF file refers to textstyle11 the style data is

Can we fix the font substitution form so it correctly reflects the displayed font?
Closure comment
Font needs to be installed on target machine.

Hi,
With 'Show font substitution dialog when opening file' checked the dialog will display automatically when a file is opened that includes text based entities using certain fonts.
This is nothing more than starting FF after opening the file.
The font Freehand521 BT is indeed not yet substituted with another font by you.
-- Unchanged -- in the dialog means not to be changed when acknowledged.
Without the required font installed the text rendered falls back on a system font.
On Windows that may indeed be Arial.
'Falling back on' is pure virtual. ;-)
'Substituting with' is an actual change to the document and permanent when saved.
You have two options:
- Install the required font face and restart QCAD.
- Substitute the unsupported font throughout the drawing with one that is installed.

CVH
If a font is not installed on your system, there is unfortunately no way that it could be rendered correctly. Your system automatically falls back on an installed font to make sure anything can be displayed at all. However, there's no way of knowing how font "Freehand521 BT" should be rendered without having the font installed. For all we know the font might only exist on the computer of the creator of the drawing and we might not have any information about it at all.
Additionally ...
The version of Freehand521 BT.TTF (or OTF) on the source system is unknown.
At best the customer provides in the used font file.

CVH
