FS#1750 - trimming polylines

Trimming polylines especialy those with a string of small segments should be done at the intersection of those polylines.
Now trimming is done with the seggments that where the nearest when selecting the two polylines.

This is expected behaviour. The segments closest to the mouse cursor when clicking the polylines are trimmed to each other.

This is still a bug.
How can anyone know wich segment is intersecting with wich segment of the polys.
When both already intersect selecting both and high zooming in on the intersecting segments does the trick.
When one poly spans far enough and the other does not come near it with high zooming no adaquate segment of the firts can be pointed out.
When both don't span far enough the end segments should be selected in two high zoom states.
In all cases the overview is lost and the prototype is out of view.

Thanks for providing details on your use case. However, there are other valid use cases in which it is important that the chosen segments are trimmed and not the end segments. It comes down to the tool now being able to predict what the user intends.

Feel free to post a feature request for a tool option / new tool that better suits your particular use case. Please include screenshots / drawing files that document your use case. Thanks.
