Re: Hachures

Re: Convert Spline / Polyline with bulges

Oops I updated to 3.15.5, and indeed, Splines are exploded to polylines and arcs ! Thanks ! I increased the Spline Tolerance in the Apps Preferences, but I still get too much entities ; weird, using the drawing I posted above, on the bottom spline, there are far more arcs toward the left. Is it poss...

Re: Convert Spline / Polyline with bulges

Am I missing some settings here ? Please consider the attached drawing. If I explode the splines here, I only get straight segments. Even if I select minimal values in App Preferences > Modify > Explode, I still get too much straight segments, meaning too much G01 gcode to write to my old Laser cutt...

Convert Spline / Polyline with bulges

Hello !

Qcad has tools to explode Splines in straight segments, but not in arcs.

Is anyone familiar with an algorithm to convert spline to Arcs --with a bit of tolerance, of course?

Thanks

Qcad Simple API :: Polylines

Here is a little contribution in attempting to improve addPolyline() function : function addPolyline(p, closed, grel) { //p = Array of type [ [ x, y, bulge, rel ], ..., [ ... ] ] // rel = true | false (this vector's coords are relative to previous') //closed = true | false //grel = true | false (Glo...

Re: QCAD User Interface Translations

Can I make a few corrections to the French translation?
Albeit correct, a few sentences seem to be "Google-translated" --no offenses here, of course.
Do I simply need to get there (http://translate.qcad.org/fr/) ans start making corrections?

-always-load-scripts and included .js

Hi Developers ! tl; dr : How to reload included .js with the -always-load-scripts option? The long version : I'm writing a Skelton script that does all the init stuff / prototype and all those things I still don't fully understand :p Inside the Skelton.prototype.beginEvent = function() , I include("...

Vector += vector

Hello ! I have a little question : var v = new RVector(1,2) , v1 = new RVector(4,8); qDebug("1>"+v) qDebug("2>"+v1) v.operator+=(v1); qDebug("3>"+v) What to expect, doing this? Here is what I get : Debug: 1>RVector(1, 2, 0, true) Debug: 2>RVector(4, 8, 0, true) Debug: 3>RVector(1, 2, 0, true) Is it ...

Re: Create a new file from within a script

Thanks for the reply !

I removed this.terminate(); from my code above, but I still get the warnings.
I guess it does not matter, as the scripts runs fine on Windows and Linux.

Thank you again, Cheers !

Re: Create a new file from within a script

I have another small question. Here is my script include("../MyScripts.js"); function ExSkelton(guiAction) { MyScripts.call(this, guiAction); }; ExSkelton.prototype = new MyScripts(); ExSkelton.prototype.beginEvent = function() { MyScripts.prototype.beginEvent.call(this); var _f = RGuiAction.getBySc...

Re: Create a new file from within a script

Thanks again for the reply. I managed to get it working somehow : I created a function in my myFunctions.js script on top on my MyScripts tree: function NewDrawing() { var _f = RGuiAction.getByScriptFile("scripts/File/NewFile/NewFile.js"); if (!isNull(_f)) { _f.slotTrigger(); } return [EAction.getDo...

Re: Create a new file from within a script

Hi Andrew, thanks for the reply! I managed to get a new file by doing this : var _f = new NewFile(); _f.beginEvent(); //Error on next line var _d = _f.getDocument(); var _di = _f.getDocumentInterface(); Note that the third line produces a warning: Warning: RAction::getDocument: Action has no documen...

Create a new file from within a script

Hi all! I have to write a script that creates 2 drawings on different files. I tried to include("scripts/File/NewFile.js") but I don't understand how to use it. I tried various things found on the doc and this forums, but for the life of me, I can't see any "Untitled 2" window :oops: Can anyone plea...
