Re: Drafting at 1"=20'

Hello Joe, I am trying to do something that I imagine a lot of surveyor's and engineer's do (perhaps in the U.S. only), namely create a drawing at 1"=20' scale. Seriously? Ok, that is new to me. I thought they are always creating a 1"=1" drawings. Maybe I'm wrong ... In other words, I would like to ...

Please attache the drawing or at least an example drawing which shows the issue with the hatch to this post. Thank you.

I find pasting images in construction drawings ugly.
I agree!

I can paste Librecalc spreadsheets directly into Progecad, TurboCAD or AutoCad. All formatting sticks.
Nope - I'm not aware of this possibility in QCAD. :(

Re: Fonts and positions different when reopening

... the top right of the drawing where it says "original drawing" is it off centered? I haven't checked the orientation - you can blame me for that ... e_surprised ... but it works like the rest of the formatting. i was reading in another post and someone said i might not be able to change the font...

Re: Fonts and positions different when reopening

Thanks for the drawing. I loaded your drawing in QCAD CE - all fonts in Standard, I changed Standard to Tahoma - saved and closed it, reopened again - all Fonts still in Tahoma Good news: It behaves like expected, Bad news: I still can't reproduce your issue with the fonts .... :( This is the modifi...

Re: Cutting objects

QCAD has a few cutting tools but of course not like Illustrator. QCAD is a CAD program - Illustrator is a graphic design program.

Maybe you could elaborate a bit more what you like to do with QCAD and we will see if it has the proper tools for that.

Re: Setting dimention units

I'm not sure what you have done with that drawing but here a basic info: If you have a metric drawing (lets say mm) and you convert it with the "Convert Drawing Unit" tool below Menu / Edit to imperial (lets say inch) then QCAD will recalculate everything in your drawing to the chosen new unit. Exam...
