Re: cannot select a directory in the "save as" menu

Is this a QCAD Professional snapshot release or a self-compiled binary or third party package?

is there a way getting this all for the second best result?
We will add

Code: Select all

RNester::applySolutionByIndex(index, operation)
for the next release.

Re: Nesting Script

Code: Select all

var count = nester.applyBestSolution(op);
applyBestSolution returns the number of not placeable parts.

Re: Importing ACAD Multi_line text

Most likely these texts are wrapped automatically at a certain width in Autocad. Unfortunately, this is currently not supported in QCAD (only "hard" line breaks are supported).

Absolutely not. We don't block anyone from posting PMs (expect spammers who have their account removed anyway).

Re: Nesting API

That depends on the contents of your DXF file. Assuming the file contains at least one polyline entity: var ids = doc.queryAllEntities(); for (var i=0; i<ids.length; i++) { var id = ids[i]; var pl = doc.queryEntity(id); if (!isPolylineEntity(pl)) { continue; } // found a polyline: // pl is of type R...

Re: Command Line Tools

Scripts are compiled into plugins (virtual file system). This should not be the problem.

How do you call dwg2dwg?

The correct order of arguments is for example:

Code: Select all

./dwg2dwg -o output.dwg input.dxf

Re: Cursor not visible

The cursor should look like this:

I.e. a black crosshair with a white outline.

What system are you on (Windows, macOS, Linux)? What background color do you use? Thanks.

Re: snap spacing

You can adjust the grid spacing under
Edit > Drawing Preferences > General > Grid

The grid automatically scales up if it would get very dense. You can see the actual grid spacing / meta grid spacing at the bottom right of the graphics view:

Re: Printing multiple pages and lining them up.

vertical is almost perfect, horizontal is 1 mm out. As long at this tolerance doesn't scale up worse I think I will be OK. You can calibrate under Edit > Application Preferences > Printer Settings > Calibration Note that there's is usually some slippage on the printer side and paper also expands / ...

Re: Printing multiple pages and lining them up.

The idea of the crop marks is that each page's crop marks are exactly aligned with the next page's crop marks. You could for example hold the pages against a window to exactly align the crop marks. For example, the two leftmost crop marks of page two need to be on top of the two right crop marks of ...

I can confirm that this is 3D data that cannot be loaded, interpreted or rendered correctly in QCAD (being 2D).
