Re: Manual/EBook

Hi Nigel. Whilst I can't find any links to this, have a look https://qcad.org/doc/qcad/2.2/reference/en/ there might be some info there that might clarify some issues (although for a previous version). I have found some info there that is not available (or easily found) in the current reference manu...

Re: [SOLVED - PEBCAK error] Bug? Undocumented product characteristic?

There's no way I could/would ever blame ya. I was not relating when I said "I don't know why I mentioned "Tab on Command Line"... sorry." So, I am deeply ashamed of my user mentality. (Wasn't one once) Now I've got it sussed. Hopefully someone else will reap benefit from my humiliation. I'll ...

Re: [SOLVED - PEBCAK error] Bug? Undocumented product characteristic?

Well, I must admit - I can't read everything, but this is yet another "easter egg". Thanks for that CVH. Whilst pressing the TAB key it got "lost". Now, why this feature is available, I'm not sure why? However, it was bothering me for a while. I was thinking a memory bounds issue - I never saw the c...

[SOLVED - PEBCAK error] Bug? Undocumented product characteristic?

I don't think this affects anything, but...... YOU MUST DOCK PROPERTIES WIDGET . New drawing. Draw circle Select circle Place cursor "Specific Properties"/"Radius" Press TAB 16 or 17 times. Command History box filled with (not the "=========..." as I use to delineate) ===============================...

Re: Set line to specific length at a specific angle

Post Repudiated "Superceded"? Perhaps... "1a : to cause to be set aside. b : to force out of use as inferior. 2 : to take the place or position of. 3 : to displace in favor of another." No matter, CVH, your replies/solutions are most welcome. It's yourself and other who spark that interest to go ge...

Re: Hatching suggetions

Thanks CVH. I'll try and organize my thoughts on the Property Widget thing... HOWEVER, here's one for you, and I'm sure this is a bug (albeit a "forced" bug) 1) New drawing. 2) Dock Properties on right 3) Create circle/line/rectangle(polyline) 4) Select circle/line/rectangle 5) Go to properties and ...

Ah.... excellent. I did venture into the preferences, got 95% to that point then stopped. I see, I see now.

Thank you so much.

Confirm deletion of layer

Suggestion:
If a layer (or any sublayer) has entities, then a confirmation dialog to confirm deletion?

[Solved] SubLayers not hiding

Just a quickie.

Using snap 3.25.2.7 (thanks by the way) Win 10

Sub layers are not hidden when the parent layer is hidden. (Incorrect behaviour? Bug report?)

However sub layers are locked when parent layer is locked (Correct behaviour)

Best

Re: Active Layer

I can concur. See attached. When a layer is selected (highlighted & with pencil) and then a new layer is added then that new layer is selected as shown by a pencil, HOWEVER that layer is NOT highlighted, but the previously selected layer is in fact still highlighted. This has sometimes been a distra...

Re: Layer issue - Paste Along Entity

Yeah, now the bulb filament is glowing. I was "assuming" that the pasted entity was going to take the layer property of the path. It makes sense to me now. I do appreciate your patience. Regarding Hatches. Perhaps a suggestion to have option of an "ungrouped" hatch or a "block" hatch? Also, I'd like...

Layer issue - Paste Along Entity

I have Layer1 and Layer2 Draw a path on layer1. Draw a small circle on Layer1. Copy small circle (that's on Layer1). Select Layer2. Edit/Paste Along Entity. (Select however many you wish, say 10). I used Include end points. The circles are drawn. HOWEVER, they are on Layer1, not Layer2... Makes sens...

Hi,
try the QCAD tool "Paste along Entity" ...

Husky-2020.10.25-01.png
I like that! Excellent. I'm using 3.25.2.1 (Win 10) and when I hover over the entity it'll only preview a few of the clipboard items, but when I accept position it then fills in all the remainder.

Thanks again. Best
