Re: circular interpolation

Andrew

Thanks I've got a working version. Should mention I also added a G90.1 at the top of the post.

Is it possible to set the I,J,K values in circular interpolation to absolute rather then incremental?

multi toolpaths on drawing

Hi
Can I have 3 or 4 toolpaths in qcadcam 3.18 and launch each as a separate .nc file?

Thanks

Re: getting date time to work

Andrew Thank you. The post you sent was the same one I tried after your first response so I feel I am not quite as dumb and I did yesterday. The post fails the same way mine did. When the CamExport icon is pressed text appears in the message window but the gcode file does not get written. Exporting ...

Re: getting date time to work

Andrew I appreciate your explanations of how functions, prototypes, and initialization work but after several hours spent reading at http://eloquentjavascript.net/ I am still unable to get this function to work. And a age 71 I doubt I will ever get how this works The third line in you example is the...

getting date time to work

Andrew

I've tried several variations on this and have been unable to get it to work.
I've attached my linuxcnc post processor, could you take a look and correct my errors?

Thanks

Re: Cam understanding

Dan Don't know if this is proper etiquette here but I have used the program "cnc discriminator" for years its available here http://www.cncedit.com/ It may just be that I am more familiar with it then any thing else but I like the 3D views and edit on the fly ability's. Selecting a line on the scree...

Re: additions to the header

Andrew

I got most of the header working as I wanted but the "date/time" still eludes me.
Attached is a copy of the post-processor I edited.

Thanks
Jim

Re: how to select specific points

well this appears to be another case of "Operator Error" or misuse of a feature. I get the results i wanted by having only points appearing in the "selection filter" panel. Then dragging a selection window around the whole drawing then pressing the bottom right icon in the panel, the "intersect with...

Re: how to select specific points

Husky I may have found the problem. Andrew gave me a copy of a "Note that this is a snapshot release, not an official package". And that was where I was working. But now with the file loaded into 3.17.5.0 it works much differently and is probably as it was meant to be. There is a notification from y...

how to select specific points

Sorry if this has been covered before. But I have a drawing with lots of construction points and also several lines. If I use "Selection Filter" and set it for points a window stretched over the whole drawing highlights all the points. Meaning the end points of the lines as well as the construction ...
