Re: Freeze up when adding text. (solved)
Could be Linux Mint 19. What version are you running? Regards, CVH Thanks for the reply CVH. However, I have solved the problem. For the record, I am running Qcad version 3.22.1 Linux always receives suspicion for what most times is found to be operator error/ignorance (as in this case), or some pr...

Re: Freeze up when adding text.
No problem with Win10 .... This happens only with a specific text font or with all offered text fonts? I will investigate further with hope I can answer that. Thanks for the reply Husky. I just tried a couple more fonts with the same result. If I adjust the font in the top right tool bar, it works ...

Freeze up when adding text. (solved)
I have experienced this problem for some time now. Whenever trying to add text to a drawing, the system freezes up. I am using Linux Mint 19. Is there something I am not doing or doing wrong that can address this problem? Or is this a known general problem that can be fixed otherwise? Please advise,...

Re: Dimension abberation mystery. (solved).
I found that; it seems that is all it was. The scale was defaulting to something other than 1:1.
I expect to be able to avoid the problem in future.
Thanks again Husky.

Re: Dimension abberation mystery.
Please check the "Linear Factor" for each dim within the Property Editor. They are identical? No, they were not identical. I changed the larger one back to 1 (both are 1 not) and that fixed the problem. Thanks. However, when I draw in another dimension, it defaults back to the same situation. I hav...

Dimension abberation mystery. (solved).
I went back to a previous drawing and planned to scale the airfoil section in it to a new size.
The dimensions of the archived drawing and the new dimensions differed wildly, with no apparent relationship.
Why is this happening?
What can I do to correct it?
Screenshot attached.

Re: Problem with relative zero
I can't imagine how that is possible - but I don't know what kind of drawings you are working on............ I could post an attachment of a drawing, but it would not assist much in explaining. The type of drawing does not change the situation; sooner or later I want to zoom into a fine detail and ...

Re: Problem with relative zero
I lock it, but it moves again after the next drawing function. That behavior describes exactly the "Set Relative Zero (RZ)" tool but not the "Lock Relative Zero (RL) tool. Maybe you can post step by step what you are doing in the drawing what shows that behavior................. Ok. I have not expl...

Re: Problem with relative zero
Yes, that is what I meant in my second sentence, first post.
I lock it, but it moves again after the next drawing function.
What is it for anyway?

Problem with relative zero (Unsolved).
I have a problem with relative zero popping up and getting in the way all the time. I know how to move it and to lock it. However, the lock does not seem to work. After moving it and locking it, it pops back again where I am working on a drawing. There must be something I am not aware of about it. C...

Safe name for files.
What are the rules for naming Qcad .dxf files for safe saving please?
I have a history of either losing access to file, or them disappearing altogether. I want to follow correct naming protocol to ensure this does not continue.
Thanks,
Jim.
