They are obviously some sort of scale but every one of my drawings has a different set of numbers! they range from 10<100 to 8'4"<83'4". When I open a drawing and try to bring in another they are differen...

Re: Sizing drawings

THANK YOU!!! That solved the problem.
Is this typical of CAD programs or something unique to Q CAD? I come from a graphics background ( Corel) and this is a different approach

Sizing drawings

I am sure I am missing something basic but I have multiple drawings that when I try and open each in a new drawing the scale is VERY different. the one thing I notice is the "Meta grid" data at the bottom is different for each file. in one case 10" <8'-4" the other is 0.1< 1 Almost all of my drawing...

Multiple Drawings into 1 on seperate layers

I have 4 drawings that I want to combine into one. I want each part on a separate layer. When I open each drawing on the " 0" layer I can manipulate it and explode it. If I create a new layer and open the drawing in it and try to explode it it disappears. I am sure it is something I am doing ( or no...

Re: Dimension isssues

It appears the problem is with the file itself. This file is an import from another program and obviously it doesn't convert 100%. Re-drawn in Q CAD and all is well
Re-install was from MSI.

Dimension isssues

Why do my dimensions show as 28?95 on the attached drawing. Also for some reason I cannot change the text size in the dimension preferences. It is stuck at .125.The attached drawing has the dimension in both red and green. Green is how it is measured. Red is after exploding and then changing test si...

Re: Hello From Canada!

Thanks for the explanation on the file saving. That solved that issue.
"Defpoints " solved the other issues with other programs being able to see it.

THANK YOU!

Re: Hello From Canada!

Thanks! So far it has been fairly straight forward. :D My only issue is when I try and save a file I get the message: File format version you are using is not recommended. ( Pick what ever format you want) all black layers will be saved as white. All custom colors will be "rounded" to the nearest fi...
