Setting the snap to auto (SA) or free (SF) didn't solve the problem.

Yes, this also happens when I try to draw a rectangle (shortcut R, E).
It seems that the horizontally restriction (shortcut E, H) is activated anywhere in the background.

It's only a visual problem (see screenshot).
But you can't choose the exact size of the viewport because the second corner can't be selected / is not visible.

when trying to create a new viewport in a layout block [Shortcut: V, T] there is only a horizontal line but no rectangular area shown in the model space.

Exakt. QCAD Pro 3.27.6 wurde als QCAD Professional 3.27.6 for Linux Qt 5.14 64bit (Installer) installiert.

bei den QCAD Pro Versionen 3.27.7 und 3.27.8 für Linux [QCAD Professional 3.27.7 bzw. 3.27.8 for Linux 64bit (Installer)] wird beim PDF-Export die Ausblendung eines Bildes (Eigenschaften Editor -> Ausblendung) nicht mehr berücksichtigt.
In der Version 3.27.6 erfolgt der PDF-Export ohne Fehler.

Sowohl das teilweise Ausblenden als auch das Sperren des Layers bzw. eine Kombination aus beiden funktioniert einwandfrei und ist eine sehr gute Lösung für mein Problem.

when using "Info > Position" it would be great to also show the z-coordinate.
This option could be integrated in the preferences dialog or the application preferences dialog.

Linien und Polylinien, die auf Punkten gezeichnet werden, welche eine von 0.0 verschiedene z-Koordinate haben, lassen sich nicht selektieren. Erst nach einem Neuladen der Zeichnung ist dies möglich.
