Re: invisible block attribute and library item
Hi, i set its "invisible" property to "no". Not "invisible" and thus visible ... It seems that it doesn't matter if an Attribute Definition entity is set to invisible or not. When inserting a Block Reference based on a Block with an Attribute Definition then the resulting Block Attribute entity alwa...

Re: Typing in circle radius
Hi, and welcome to the QCAD forum. To set the focus on the Command line simply hit the spacebar. Circle from Center and point ( CI ) does indeed accept a radius by the Command Line. One can also use the Circle from Center and radius ( CR ) tool and then the radius is a option on the Option Toolbar. ...

Re: FlexPainter for Revision Clouds in QCAD 3.29.4.0
Hi, Most likely yes, it runs just fine under QCAD 3.29.4.0 on Windows. And probably yes for MacOs using QT6 there I see a commit to the code by Andrew regarding that. Remark that tools that require a selecting are grayed out without an existent selection. FlexPainter mimics a roller stamp and requir...

Re: Included circle inside triangle
Correct, and it is up to date ...
Although it is still a download of 40 to 201Mb.
3.12.6 win32 was 39.3 Mb large
3.27.8 pro win32 was 201Mb large
3.29.4 trial win32 is 62Mb large

Re: Hello from Denmark
Parametric constraints ARE a part of dynamic blocks, true - But having to know Python or having to setup those parameters in a spreadsheet outside QCAD is backwards and non intuitive. Both methods feels like a "workaround" and not an actual solution to a problem. Agreed, both methods are a workarou...

Re: Included circle inside triangle
QCAD version 3.4.5 was released on 2013/12/18. That is more than ten years ago ... Essentially it is not a bug in that version, it is rather a shortcoming. Several major fixes have been implemented in Apollonius.js since then. More recent QCAD versions include a vast amount of improvem...

Re: Included circle inside triangle
I see, you only get 2 out of 8 solutions ... :? heviarti_CT3.png The solver Apollonius.js has not changed for this case in about 4 or more years. Questions: What QCAD version are you running? On what OS? (Please also read the above forum rules in red) That tells me the two tangent tool isn't doing i...

Re: Included circle inside triangle
I think it is incorrect to state that the geometry exists of two tangent circles and that they should meet at the pitch circle. All chain sprocket types that I saw today have a short tangent line connecting two circular segments ... Also see tube starting at timestamp 2:47 Half the geometry of a too...

Re: How to navigate the Tool Matrix with the keyboard?
You mean immediately? That's what I'm talking about. Clicking with the mouse isn't as immediate as navigating with the keyboard would be . IMHO is selecting a QCAD tool from the Tool Matrix an immediate action. The indicated tool becomes active with one single click on its tool button ... Action bu...

Re: Corkscrew or streching an ellipse
Nice, thank you ... Probably the best solution up to now. 8) You have to admit that what Chips&Chips presented on Feb 29 comes very close visually. I don't think that it must be exact for the intended purpose ... One of the problems I see is that in QCAD splines end normal. Your start and end...

Re: Included circle inside triangle
I tried using the circle three tangents tool, but I end up with two large circles outside the pitch line, or it failing to solve. Surely there is a method to create the included circle inside a triangle? I also followed the tube ... For the 180/53 value I did not make the detour to a pocket calcula...

Re: Only a partial hatch appears in a closed shape
Hi, Found the culprit ... The polyline is drawn at Z level -1.8e-15 ... e_surprised This doesn't show in the Property Editor even when displaying Z values by preference and with 8 decimal digits. My bad  ... All Z values were displayed as ' 0 ' and I did not tried to flatten your file to 2D. S...

Hi, I think you might try the Qt5 package: Similar reports, similar solutions: https://www.qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=10622 https://www.qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=10370 Or you might try resetting your configuration: https://qcad.org/en/tutorial-resetting-the-qcad-configuration ...
