Re: Calibrate Printer to Produce Accurately Scaled 1:1 Output
If I had ever known where the printer calibration setting was, I had forgotten. Thank you for your quick response; I'm marking this SOLVED. As a courtesy to others who may have trouble knowing how to use this setting, I'll relate what I did to get my results. As I said above, I'm printing a template...

Re: Keypad doesn't type numbers
I just tried running the trial version linked to QT 5.13, to which you posted the link. The number keypad seems to be working correctly with this version, which resolves the issue. Thank you. Will I need to pay attention to any special versioning when I purchase the newest pro-version? As soon as th...

[solved] Calibrate Printer to Produce Accurately Scaled 1:1 Output
I am attempting to print a drawing in 1:1 scale which will be used as a template for a sign. The drawing has a square border, exactly 24"x24", which is intended to line up precisely with the edges of the 2'x2' ply-boards upon which the signs will be painted. I'm using the tile feature with 8-1/2"x11...

Re: Keypad doesn't type numbers
I downloaded and ran the newest trial version, and the keypad still does not produce numbers. I am running version 5.9.5 of QT. However, note that I am using KDE, which heavily utilizes QT, and QCAD is the only program which is giving me this issue with the keypad. I do intend to purchase the upgrad...

[solved] Keypad doesn't type numbers
Hi folks, I'm using: Version: 3.17.0.0 (3.17.0) Internet: QCAD.org Build Date: May 18 2017 Revision: 2a31885 Qt Version: 5.8.0 Architecture: x86_64 Compiler: gcc 4.8.1 Running on Kubuntu 18.04.4 LTS I'm a longtime user of QCAD. Re: Hatch solid fill color
The Black/White button makes all my lines visible, but it also gives me a monochrome print (no color). The other setting did exactly what I needed though. Thanks again.

Solved: (Re: Hatch solid fill color)
Husky, Using your tip, I was able to solve my problem. Thank you. You may consider this question SOLVED. As an aside, changing this color adjustment setting reveals a strange interaction between the graphical display, and the print-preview display. To wit: I use a black background in my graphical di...

Re: Hatch solid fill color
Hmmm, this post was from 2012 and never got an answer. Is this forum active? To answer the OP's question (what I THINK he's asking, anyway), I always use a separate layer for my fills. I set the color at the layer level. Then, all my fills/hatches will be that color. This works very well in that if ...

Re: Output too faint -- line weight has no effect
Clive, Your instructions helped me fix my problem. Thank you. I should note a few things which might be helpful to others: My configuration was set by default, to Drawing Unit: Foot, Paper Unit: Foot. I made the change to Paper Unit: Inch, as you suggested. In Printing, you instructed I set my Viewp...

Re: Output too faint -- line weight has no effect
Pursuant to your request, I'm attaching both the .dxf, and the resulting .pdf. All lines-weights in the "Border" layer are set to 2.0mm, yet they appear as thin lines. The "tract-lines" layer has line-weight set to 1.0mm, and as you can see they are barely visible. The other layers have more reasona...

[solved] Output too faint -- line weight has no effect
Using QCAD version 3.0 (Jul 20, 2012) (Full Version) QT Version 4.74 Teigha Version 3.05.0.0 on Mint 13. All lines display the same thickness, regardless of assigned line weight. When printing, or exporting to PDF, all lines are so faint they can barely be seen. I've tried setting line weight to 2.0...

Feature Request: Nested Layers
I use QCAD to create maps. Some of my maps contain numerous layers, many of which are easily organized into related groups. It would be ever so handy, if I could create folders in the Layers section, and copy/move layers in or out of various folders. This way, I could group layers which have a limit...

Compass style Angles
I use QCAD mostly for mapping. I love many of the program's features, but as has already been suggested, it would be much handier if it were possible to configure North as Zero, East as 90, South as 180, and West as 270. It would be handier yet, at least for me, if it were possible to enter a compas...
