Dimension extension line printing problem

When I print the extension lines of the dimensions print on top of the actual drawing lines. I'm choosing to print the dimension lines in light grey so the drawing can be seen clearly, but this then leaves gaps in the drawing where the extension lines are. Is there a way to push the dimension layer ...

Print Preview Pan not working

I've recently re-installed Windows 10 and afterwards found that Print Preview Pan didn't work. I restarted QCAD and it did work, but has bow stopped working again. Restarting doesn't fix it.

Nice drafting work.

Try the 'Hatch from segments' tool instead!

Hatching

How should I best go about hatching a drawing like the attached? I've tried Hatch From Selection but the selection process seems to drop out long before I've got all around the stairs. Re: How do I set up QCAD for architectural drawing?

Is there any way of setting the model space and paper space up independently of each other, or with a less crude choice of simply metres or millimeters? No, and honestly I have right now no clue why you like to do so. Please enlighten me? In model space I want to annotate the design and show key di...

Re: How do I set up QCAD for architectural drawing?

Capture.PNG Here, I can set the text height for dimensions, currently 2.5 units. Capture2.PNG Here, I can set the units for, presumably, model space and paper space, although the terminology is not consistent. So, as I have model space units set to 1 metre and paper space to 1mm, my dimension text ...

How do I set up QCAD for architectural drawing?

Can anyone advise on setting up for architectural drawing? I want to draw in full size, units of metres. I want to annotate and dimension at a suitable size on screen and print on A4 paper. At present with units set to metres, dimensions and text are building sized, not very useful. I also would lik...

Calling from France

I've picked up on QCAD after several abortive attempts with other packages: SketchUp, FreeCAD and LibreCAD. I struggled with them all, not getting 'into' the ethos of the software. I found QCAD and immediately was able to begin creative work. It has a workflow which suits me, I think! The need for t...
