Re: Text Height vs Font Height/Size
Thanks for the clarification. Would it be possible to slightly increase the "normalized" text size in the dialogue? At least on modern MacBook the normalized text (when the height is the same as the font size) is very small and hard to read. (I usually use 2*Heigh as font size to get a reasonable re...

Text Height vs Font Height/Size
In the text edit dialog there are two different text sizes. 1. The text height in the left side of the dialogue 2. The font size in the property bar While I can make it work the logic behind this eludes me. Especially the correlation with the text size in the actual dialogue. I have concluded that t...

Readability improvement for Ref Manual on dark theme OSX
When opening the ref manual from the help and searching the resulting hits are shown in dark blue. This is close to unreadable when using dark theme on OSX. Dark orange (or similar) would make wonders for readability. (Not the most critical thing I know, but a low hanging fruit to substantially impr...

Re: How do I get dashed lines to show dashed in PDF?
This is something I have also found a bit confusing. The following is perhaps not so much a direct answer but some insights (or lack of ...) in regards to line-type scaling. My understanding of how it is supposed to work is illustrated below with a simple centerline pattern and how it appears in mod...

Keeping layer visibility settings in views?
Is it possible to have views not only store the a position and zoom-factor but also layer setting, specifically which layers are visible? What am I trying to do? In a medium complex drawing it's way too much details to have all layers in my drawing visible at once. I also want to have only one model...

Cycloid and Involute curves for gears construction
One type of curves which cannot easily be generated from the existing primitives in QCad is Cycloid curves (e.g isochronous curves) and the related Involute curves (used for, among other things, constructing gears). I know I could start learning script or import a coordinates from a spreadsheet but ...

Add option to select media source in printer dialogue
For some other QT-based program they often have an "Advanced" tab in the printer dialogue (see attached screenshot) to allow the selection of, for example, which paper try should be used (i.e. "Media Source"). It seems that the QCad always prints using paper tray 1. advanced-tab.png When you have tw...

You are also right about the +31 degrees I hypothesized. It seems to change randomly when you remove and re-add the angular dimension.

Re: Repeatable crash when opening file from "Recent"
I have attached the log (sorry for this I thought the crashlogs could be seen in your dev dashboard) Some additional information. I also realized that this only seems to happen when storing in a folder that is synchronized with Google Drive. In order to have access to files everywhere I use a folder...

Bug: Different angular dimension in viewport and model
I have a model where one of the details is as following: Screen Shot 2018-07-30 at 10.30.32.png However, when I create a viewport and display the part in the the layout the angular measurement is screwed up (sorry no better technical term ...) Add "Linear factor" & "Scale" to angle dimension
For all other dimensional tools the property "Specific properties" has a "Linear factor" and "Scale" (e.g. linear, radius etc.). This is very handy when you need one set of dimension labels to not follow the application (or drawing) dimension settings. (I use it for example to have smaller labels in...

Repeatable crash when opening file from "Recent"
Whenever I try to open a file from " File->Open Recent " my pro-qcad always crashes. If I open the file using " File->Open " it works as expected. Would be nice if this could be fixed. Edit: This seems to be OSX specific. Does not happen on Linux. System: OSX 10.13.6 QCad version: Version: 3.21.2.0 ...

Reset toolbar is not dockable too the left
The "Reset" toolbar can be moved and docked arbitrary in the top row. However, it is only acting as a floating toolbar when trying to put it on the left side and seems impossible to dock. Not sure if this is by design but it would be nice if all toolbars behaved in the same way. Version information ...

Re: Scaling of viewport
Thanks, now i understand. However the reason I didn't see it is that it is actually impossible to access that menu item on a MBP 13 as the included attachment demonstrates. Screen Shot 2018-07-10 at 00.01.19.png In order to view it it is not even possible to click the "more" button but you really ha...
