[solved] math power operator **
Version: Pro 3.25.2.0 (3.25.2) on Ubuntu 16.04 As the scripting language is said to be ECMA script which seems to have a power operator '**' I am puzzled because this seems to raise an error when I try to use it. It appears that I can use Math.pow(x,y) but this is not very convenient to use in many ...

add text at location in script
Linux / qcad-3.21.3.15-pro I need to add simple text strings at locations in a script. Is there a simple way to do this similar to addSpline or addLine? Something like providing text and coordinates as arguments. Possibly other parameters like orientation and size. Where does one find a listing of f...

Re: drawing curve based on mathematical equation
Thanks for the help and suggestion. In some cases it would be useful to be able to pass arguments to such a function in some way. I am new to this area, and I have not yet come across the way to do this. Where is the best place to look further for such functionality. While the capability of writing ...

drawing curve based on mathematical equation
QCAD Pro 3.21.3.15 on Ubuntu 16.04 Is it possible to draw a curve based on mathematical equations? As a simple example, I need to draw a family of hyperbolas with the same asymptotes. Similarly, I need to draw some ellipses. The equations can be given in parametric form for x and y coordinates, for ...

property editor won't change size of rectangle
PropertyEditorRectangle.png QCAD PRO 3.21.3 on Ubuntu 16.04 I am having trouble using the property editor on a simple closed polyline which was constructed using the rectangle tool with width set at 20 and height set at 25 and "create polyline" turned on. I would like to change the width to 25, for...

Re: Text strings from AutoCAD don't always wrap correctly
To make the issue clearer, I have attached two screenshots. File from_DWG_convert.png is a screenshot of a region of the PDF file image produced by the converter. File from_QCAD.png is a screenshot of the same region taken from the PDF file produced by QCAD for the same DWG drawing. Note the differe...

Text strings from AutoCAD don't always wrap correctly
I have an AutoCAD DWG file from an outside source. Some of the text strings which should be wrapped within a text box do not get wrapped in QCAD 3.21.3 For example see the string "These reaction forces ..." in the rightmost lower panel. When I use a DWG to PDF conversion tool, the text does get prop...

Re: Autocad drawing will not load to view
Husky: How do you get qcad to provide error messages such as the one you gave about the PDF file not being available? I am having trouble finding how to generate such useful messages.
Thanks, - charles

Re: Autocad drawing will not load to view
Thanks for the helpful responses. They pointed at the real problem, that being the reference to an image which I did have in PDF format, but not in the loadable format. It seems that my friend did not realise that the PDF file was not enough, and that there was another loadable file, called data04.P...
