Impert,

Item three on your list has been implemented in 2.1.3.2, it is called auto snap. It is on the <Object snap> toolbar but is not mentioned in the Help file. Basically it snaps to all types.

Print preview zoom scale in ini file?

Any possibility of getting the print preview scale factor in the Qcad.ini - file? I notice that the library insert scale is in there, so maybe this print preview zoom scale could also be added in future releases. Of course that is after the short-cut 2-letter commands problem is fixed for windows pl...

John, My investigation reveals that Andrew is correct. If you look at your QCad.ini - file, which stores all variables that are saved during program exit, you will find: [LibraryInsert] LibraryInsertAngle=0.0 LibraryInsertFactor=1.0 This suggests that the librarys inserted use a scale factor of 1.0 ...

Its me again. I went back and tested every other move, copy, rotate edit tool and the <mv> tool is the only tool that leaves the action results selected. For multiple copies, it even leaves all of the copies selected. Since the dialog box is used with the other tools and does not exhibit this sympto...

At this point I am going to argue with myself for a moment. In my previous post I mistakenly stated that the last thing you draw, is always the last selection. I wish to withdraw that statement because it doesn't hold true. I now suspect that the copy being selected after closing the dialog box is t...

For the benefit of others I will close out this question myself. After much experimenting, I have found the purpose of those two pesky numbers just below the bottom right corner viewing screen. The first number represents the spacing of the snap grid dots in drawing units. The second number represen...

Thanks for your help. I just tried <lr> and it works for me using v2.1.3.2 on winxp-pro sp2 OS. Most others don't work for me either. I can live with new bugs, and understand that it may take time to find and fix. I just don't find it acceptable when our problem inquiries are ignored. Come on, QCAD ...

I am using v2.1.3.2 and get the same results using the command line. I think this is normal. It makes since that when you start the <Edit> function <copy-move> and something is already selected, it becomes the selected object for the next action. The last thing you draw is always the last selection,...

CommandLine short cuts not working for me

I have pro v2.1.3.2 and can't seem to get the two letter commands to work. For example, I can type <linerectangle> and hit enter and I am correctly prompted for the first corner location. If I type <re> my command is ignored and the command prompt repeats itself. Must be something simple I am doing ...

Andrew,

Thanks for the info. I am studying to make a Video Training CD for this fine product and have learned most of the program functions. Just a few stray items such as this are still remaining.

I have read the manual and still can't find any info on the Snap-Auto button on the Object Snap toolbar.

Could someone help me understand what this does?

Thanks

Entity properties vs attributes

Can someone explain the differences between property editing and attribute editing. I can see that one is a subset of the other, but suspect that some entities may have less suttle differences?

Thanks

This is my second reply to my own post. I had better be careful or I may end up pushing around a shopping cart with cardboard and bottles in it. The numerical entries do work as described, when I finally noticed the right hand side of the status-line. Changing the zoom view let me see both the grid ...

Tried the above suggestion but didn't get the results I was looking for. I would like a grid that is 7-7/8" on centers. This is the half block installed dimension increment for drystacked concrete block construction. This would allow drawing block walls that snap to the nearest half block dimension....
