Re: Metric/Imperial converter idea

Hello Clive, First of all .... For example if I draw a line of 3.27mm what is that in inches, using an online converter tells me it's 0.146inches ... you should use an other online converter.   3.27 mm = 0.12874 inch  Second of all ... ...but how could I have got this informati...

Re: model railroad track planning

Just BEAUTIFUL! :D Ok, I'm right now playing around ... Question: I tried the function "Select ... duplicate and move". The tool is asking for "Select end of track" but after picking the end of a track .... nothing happens. I'm doing something wrong? It was working in a predecessor version. ...

Now I know it should work - but unfortunately it doesn't works on my XP machine. Have you set snap to 'Reference points' in your snap settings? Yep, I did. I also reinstalled QCAD with a fresh installation / and a fresh ...

Re: Snap possibility's to dimension

Here an example. For demonstration purpose I chose to place the first reference point for the DIM Line extremely to the right side.
However - I'm not able to find / or snap to the first DIM Line as a reference for the second DIM.

Re: Snap possibility's to dimension

Usually, the exact position of that reference point is irrelevant, only its vertical position matters (for a horizontal dimension). What means "the exact position of that reference point is irrelevant? I need to snap to it what means I need exactly to know where it is! My Autosnap can't find this p...

Re: Snap possibility's to dimension

Yes, snapping to dimension internal shapes has been disabled. The reasons being: - performance for drawing with lots of dimensions - undesired / accidental snapping to dimension line end points with a small gap to an endpoint (you almost always want to snap to the edge end point, not the dimension ...

Re: model railroad track planning

Everything should be translated now and available in German if QCad is set to German user interface. For unknown reasons, QCad stopped crashing if debugger is enabled, so my question above is obsolete. What I have seen till now looks pretty good! I'm a native German speaker ... Note: The "Du...

Re: model railroad track planning

2.Consecutive extension: It's limited to two - why I can't use more? Uhm, I'm sorry for not fully understanding. What do you mean with "limited to two"? The undo-function is limited to the last inserted track, yes. I thought it would be easier to delete more than one element with the "normal" QCad ...
