You can simply bundle the plugin with your package / installer in the "plugins" directory.

I've tried SO\H3;\S^4; it works in the editor but when press ok it doesn't work. I guess I will have to live without it then. No big deal.
You'd have to enter this code in the property editor (View > Property Editor). The text dialog does not support this.

Re: How to use a TTF font with QCAD

To use a new font with QCAD (or any other application on your computer), it needs to be installed on your system. Re: Subscript sizing and command prompt blinking cursor.

SO4 I tried to make the text size 2.5 for SO and 3.0 for 4 then make 4 a subscript. Unfortunately, these commands are rather primitive and cannot be nested. This code when entered into the property editor might work: SO\H3;\S^4; Is there a way to make the blinking cursor always stay on the command ...

Re: Underline Text

You can create an underlined text as follows: - Create a normal (not underlined) text using Draw > Text and make sure that on the left side of the dialog the checkbox for "Simple Text" is checked. - Select the text and use the property editor ( View > Property Editor ) to add %%u to the start of the...

Re: How to change default line color

The default color when starting QCAD is "By Layer", not white or black. So you're looking at the layer setup.

You can configure defaults for Layer 0 and new layers at:
Edit > Application Preferences > Layer > Add Layer

Re: Info - Polyline Area (dont measure)

I'd recommend to try resetting your QCAD configuration. Optionally, you might want to backup your old QCAD3.ini file first and then post it here if that turns out to be the problem, so we can look into what caused the problem.

Re: How can I - get the width of a caracter

Code: Select all

entity.getLineweight()
This can return the value RLineweight.WeightByLayer which means you'll have to look up the layer of the entity and query its lineweight:

Code: Select all

layer.getLineweight()

Re: Console text settings (color, size)

The red of the errors and blue of the commands is not configurable.

You can adjust the background color in your theme using this stylesheet in themes/MyTheme/stylesheet.css:

Code: Select all

QTextEdit#History {
    background-color: white;
}
