Yes, this should be possible. First you will have to convert your data into something easy to parse, for example CSV (plain text file, fields separated for example with tabs). Then have a look at the example script "inputxy.qs" and example data "inputxy.txt" which should at least be a good starting ...

Re: Creation of blocks

2- create block from "part" with reference point set in middle. Middle being at abs coordinates 100,100 in this case. This seems to be the problem. When creating a block for the part library, you don't create a block but a normal drawing and save that to the part library directory. When the part is...

Re: Assigning dimensions

I m trying to assign a dimension to a polygon. I drew an octagon and want to specify the length, but I have no way of editing the dimension. I am going through the manual for the 2.1 version, and it says that a dimensioning toolbar should appear where dimensions can be edited, but it doesn't appear...

Since you seem to be using that symbol a lot, you might want to extend the font "standard" yourself rather than waiting for an update. - Open the font file in QCAD (type: 'Font *.cxf', location: QCAD directory/fonts). - add a block with name "[UUUU]" where UUUU is the hexadecimal Unicode for the cha...

I probably don't understand you correctly. The text dialog of the text tool should remember the last used settings and suggest them as defaults for new texts. If this is not the case, you most likely have a permission problem in the folder where user preferences are stored. Again, for me to help eff...
